Curriculum Overview

Changing Options- Year 10 students only

Every pupil is entitled to a broad, balanced and meaningful curriculum.  Penair School operates a 10 day timetable. Each day is divided into 5 one hour periods, giving a timetable cycle of 50 periods, which are allocated to subjects as below, through which the National Curriculum, including Citizenship, and other statutory responsibilities are delivered.

Key Stage 4

At Penair, all students follow a broad and balanced curriculum which ensures that all learners are prepared for whatever pathway they move towards in the future. The curriculum of all learners includes a core of compulsory subjects plus a programme of optional subjects which allows each individual to pursue interests and develop their particular talents and aspirations.
